The desktop wallet tile linked to codeberg.org/wownero/wowlet/releases, where the newest release is 5.0.3 from June. The whole 5.1 line, 5.1.0 through 5.1.2, is published on GitHub only, so anyone using the front door got a build three releases old and missed the fix that stops the wallet offering to mine on someone else's node. Nothing in the wallet made up for it: CHECK_UPDATES is off in every release build, so a shipped wowlet never checks for a newer one. The download page is the only route a user has.
